TOPs (Talent Opportunity Program), is a talent search and educational program for female gymnasts ages 7-10 and their coaches. During the months of June and July gymnasts age 7-10 are evaluated on physical abilities at the state or regional level. These dates are set by your State TOP manager in conjunction with the National TOP Manager.

From there, athletes are invited to participate in the National TOP test that is conducted in the month of October where they will be evaluated on the same physical abilities tests along with some basic gymnastics skills. Athletes are then invited to participate in the National TOP Training camp which takes place in December of each year.

Team placement will be Saturday, May 18, 2013 from 3:00 – 5:00pm at the Schertz Gym. If unable to make this team placement day, please contact 210.872.5913 for a private team placement.

The pair will represent Team USA at the Sofia International Acro Cup in Sofia, Bulgaria May 4-12, 2013. As part of the official USA delegation, Mady and Christina will compete against top-level acrobatic gymnasts from around the world, including Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, France, Great Britain, Israel, Kazakhstan, Monaco, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Russia, Spain, Ukraine, and USA.

Aerial Athletics also had two groups named to the International Club Team for 2013-14. The women’s pair of Mary Imbus and Aubrey Rosilier and the women’s group of Mady Marlow, Ashlynn Losoya and Aubrey Rosilier plan to travel to an international competition in the fall.

Acrobatic gymnastics combines the beauty of dance with the strength and agility of acrobatics. Routines are choreographed to music and consist of dance, tumbling, and partner skills. At the elite level, each pair or group performs a balance, dynamic and combined routine. Pyramids and partner holds characterize the balance routine, while synchronized tumbling and intricate flight elements define the dynamic exercise. An acrobatic gymnastics pair consists of a base and a top. A women’s group is comprised of a base, middle and top partner, while a men’s group has a base, two middle partners and one top partner.

Davis is well known in the Acrobatics community as being the first American Sports Acrobatics athlete, along with mixed pair partner Shenea Booth, to capture the gold medal and become two-time Mixed Pair World Champions in 2002 and 2004. Davis And Booth also appeared in the finals of America’s Got Talent Season 1 in 2006. Davis has also peformed with Cirque du Soleil and continues to take an active role with USA Gymnastics in shaping the sport of Acrobatics.

All of the newly choreographed routines will debute this spring as the Acro season kicks off in March.
